When selecting a mirror for your renovation or new build project, often the extensive range of options can be quite overwhelming.

Selecting your frame

This is an important factor to consider to ensure you select a mirror that is suitable for the space it is being used in. 

If your mirror is going into a bathroom or a space where there is high humidity, you will want to select a style with a metal frame.

The reason for this is that you want to avoid swelling and warping which can arise when timber frames come into contact with water.

Our Studio range has been made especially with bathrooms and wet areas in mind. They will last for years to come in wet areas and your dry living spaces alike.

If your mirror is purely for decorative use in an entrance way or living space, then both timber and metal framed mirrors will suit your needs.

Selecting your shape

The right shape mirror will instantly define your space and act a showpiece, setting the mood for the entire room.

A classic round or arch shape works great in modern and traditional style homes alike. The curved edges help to add softness in to areas like bathrooms and above consoles which are often characterised with lots of hard, straight lines. 

For a modern spin on curved edges or for spaces where you don't have a lot of room to play with, an oval mirror is a great option as they are narrow but high.

For a grand statement, a large rectangular or arched leaner mirror is our go to!

Their large size is great for bouncing around light and giving the illusion of extra space.

Selecting your size

This is probably the most important part in your decision making process. The size of your mirror will depend on its desired function and the furniture that it is sitting above.

As a rule of thumb, it is best to chose a mirror that is slightly smaller than your buffet or console. For bathrooms with double sinks, one large mirror that spans the width of the two or two smaller sized mirrors work well together.
