A Neutral Nursery
Recently we created this beautiful nursery, the brief for this project was to create a neutral, soft space for a baby boy with a dedicated reading space.
The process began by selecting a colour palette, we went with a soft grey and white to keep it light and bright, with light timber accents to ground the space.
The next step was the layering of textures with the armchair, rug and wallpaper. We selected a soft grey wallpaper with white stars as it will grow with the baby as he gets into his toddler and childhood years, making it more of an investment rather than a trend piece.
The lighting in a nursery is important it needs to be quite soft but also practical for reading and changing etc. We featured a floor lamp with a large white shade, as we just wanted a really soft diffused glow. We also included the Miffy first night light, this one is perfect for night time feeds and sleeping as it has 5 dimmer settings and is cordless and portable.
We loved the styling of this one, using baby animals in the artwork and the cute rocking Icelandic sheep for something a bit different. The bedding was styled with a white organic bamboo cot sheet, a baby grey quilt and a knitted throw to add texture and warmth.
