Perth Building Designer, Draftworx redefines an existing dwelling in Mosman Park, transforming a 1960's build into a family home that engages with the outdoors and embraces elements of sun, surf and sand.

In a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional Perth-style home, Draftworx increases the overall useable floor area to feature two wings separated by a central courtyard.

The client’s brief was to include a new master suite, living/dining, kitchen/scullery, laundry, powder room and garage.

Granite Lane worked with Draftworx's in-house interior designer to pay homage to the holistic design that embraces natural light by incorporating an organic palette of both light and dark into the homeware selections.

Making a space feel unique and authentic to the homeowner is one of the most important aspects of interior styling.
Shades of blue and green inspired by the water, appear against a crisp backdrop of whites, neutrals and timber finishes.
Each room only required a minimal display - leaving room for the space to breathe.

The street front elevation showcases the two new wings of the home as a clean, square and modern addition that doesn't dominate the existing facade. Viewed from the rear, the home takes on a new perspective.
Monument St. is an embrace of Perth and its lifestyle. The interiors look to both the surrounding context and the new narrative of the home to propose a contemporary and relevant design solution.
