After a 12-month spell as a pop-up shop in Bayswater’s That Space precinct, Granite Lane has opened the doors to a permanent showroom in Mt Hawthorn.

Open since late November, the store combines three of owners Marcus and Bianca Jowett’s passions: homewares, coffee and home-made sweet treats.

Ms Jowett said a permanent retail space was always on the cards since Granite Lane first launched as an online shop in April 2015.

“The Bayswater store was…always going to be a temporary home for Granite Lane,” she said. “It allowed us to test the water before committing to a permanent location.”

Labels include Australian favourites GlobeWest, Menu, Kip & Co, HK Living and Zakkia.

Complete with an in-house cafe, the new showroom in the heart of the Scarborough Beach Road strip is home to a curated selection of homewares and furniture, including an adorable range of children’s bedroom products such as designer cots by Incy Interiors and bedding and decor by Danish brand CAM CAM.

“Our new store combines our love of homewares with our love for coffee and home bakes,” Ms Jowett said.

“In our cafe we have sourced the best produce available locally with locally roasted coffee from Coffee Fusion, pastries and donuts from Mary Street Bakery, bagels by Holy Bagel and cakes from Holly Raye’s.

“We feel the combination of being able to enjoy coffee and cake while you browse our collection, offers a relaxed, fun and local shopping experience.”

Labels on display in the gorgeously styled showroom include Australian favourites GlobeWest, Kip & Co, Zakkia, Perth’s The Neon Burrow, Fictional Objects, Milk & Sugar, Mister Fly and MRD Home, and cult international designers such as Menu, Bloomingville and HK Living.

Other products include Salus Body skincare, stationery by Blacklist Studio, and digital hide rugs by Amigos de Hoy.

Ms Jowett said the range was driven by love of “all things of exceptional quality”.

“We have a strong focus on finding statement pieces, that last, whilst maintaining a Scandinavian-inspired, minimalist approach, and supporting local artisans where possible,” she said.
